There are a LOT of reasons that LinkedIn is almost certainly the best social media platform to help you grow your coaching, consulting or service business.
I'm going to share just 7 of them here to help you understand that you really do need to be on LinkedIn AND you need a strategy to get ahead. There will be more about strategy and tactics in future newsletters. For now, let's just cover the basics.
So here goes...
According to a study carried out by HubSpot, LinkedIn is more than 3.5 times as effective to generate leads than any other social media platform.
This alone is a compelling enough reason to be using the platform for your business!

LinkedIn users are more highly-educated than users of other platforms such as Facebook and Instagram and they also earn much higher salaries.
The average salary of a user in the US is over $100,000 per year and worldwide it's over $46,000 which is mind-blowing considering average salaries in the world overall!
This means that users can generally afford to pay for coaching and consulting services and because of their education, are more likely to do so.
It also means that there is a much higher concentration of decision-makers hanging out on LinkedIn than on other platforms so whether your niche is in B2C or B2B, it's THE place to be looking for clients.
As long as you have the time and know what you're doing, it's possible to create clients using LinkedIn without spending a penny.
Of course, if you're serious about your business you should consider paying for the Sales Navigator version of LinkedIn but this isn't necessary to get you started.
With tenacity and a good strategy you'll be able to find your clients on LinkedIn without running expensive ads or paying for exposure.
If you know how to create content that resonates with your audience and you know how to set up your profile, it's easy to get found in searches by the right kind of potential clients on LinkedIn.
Not only that, but you'll get found on Google in similar searches if you're using the right keywords and phrases in the important sections of your profile.
This is almost free advertising to people who are actually searching for services like those you offer!
OK, that might only be a third of Facebook users BUT when you consider that it's focussed on professionals this is an incredibly high number!
That's a lot of professionals in good jobs that you can reach in one place...
Moreover, its growth has been nothing short of phenomenal for the past 12 years or so and it continues to grow.

Most people simply don't know how to get the best out of LinkedIn, especially when it comes to their business.
This means that even by just setting up your profile in the right way, you can stand head and shoulders above the crowd on the platform.
If you have a good strategy and are consistent, it's relatively easy to become known as the 'go to' person in your niche.
LinkedIn can almost be your digital shop-front!
With all the new tools that have been introduced, such as the 'featured' section, Creator Mode and now being able to add clickable links to your profile intro section, it's becoming easier and easier to showcase what you have to offer.
And there are more to come. No other platform makes it this easy for people to see what you're all about and how you may be able to help them.
